Ice Cream Social at Muldoon Elementary
The 2nd graders, all 21 of Mrs. Shelton’s class enjoyed a delicious ice cream treat last week. Sponsored by our club and served expertly by our own Maureen Retzel and Owen Carey. Way to go guys! Hopefully, this will inspire additional teams to push forward to reach not only the half-way point for ice Cream but the very top for a PIZZA PARTY!
Happy Halloween to Everyone
From your friends at Gateway Rotary

Gateway's Owen Carey certainly has the Halloween festivities at his home. By the way, Owen decorates his house every year. Definitely, a wonderful sight to see.
Great job, Owen!

Rotary Cares for Kids (RC4K)
Gateway partnered up with C3 Church in Muldoon; we prepped approximately 100 backpacks stuffed with a blanket, writing and coloring supplies, dental hygiene, and other goodies for the kids at Safe Harbor. If you are interested in becoming a member or want help, contact Ron Fassett. Just click on his name and email your interest in helping or becoming a member. Your support is always appreciated and welcomed.

Dictionary Books for Tyson and Muldoon Elementary
One of the Anchorage Gateway Rotary's ongoing efforts to support children's education has been the Muldoon Elementary Reading Program. In addition, Gateway Rotary received dictionaries from Anchorage South Rotary. Gateway members labeled the inside with stickers and inserted an information page about Rotary. The dictionaries will be distributed to students at Tyson and Muldoon Elementary.
Thank you, Anchorage South Rotary!

Way to Go!!!
Winter Gear for Students
Many school children are ill-equipped to deal with the winter environment in Anchorage due to inadequate outdoor clothing. Schools routinely request community members to donate hats, gloves, and other winter gear to enable kids to walk to/from school and to be able to actively participate in recess and other school activities that are held outdoors. Anchorage Gateway Rotary has partnered with our district to provide suitable outdoor clothing for use by Mountain View, Muldoon, and Tyson Elementary Schools for their students to be able to enjoy outdoor recess and be adequately protected from the cold. A total of $4500 has been committed by Anchorage Gateway Rotary and its members for this project.
Northwest Alaska needs your help
Gateway Rotary is joining the Red Cross' efforts to help those Alaskan communities hit hard by the typhoon damages that occurred in early October 2022. You can help by donating to support the storm-battered coastal community. Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.
